1. Lighting of Breckenridge and Race of the Santas
This weekend kicks off the holiday season in Breckenridge. Start off Saturday with 100s of Santas racing down Main Street. Cheer on the sprinting St. Nicks from the sideline of Main St. or enter the race yourself! Santa suits are available for $25 when you REGISTER. After the race, you can ho ho ho your way back up to Blue River Plaza for free cookies and hot cocoa. Sip on these sweet treats while you watch Santa along with a procession of Bernese Mountain dogs set the holiday season with the lighting of the town tree. See the town light up on this festive weekend and join in with Breckenridge’s favorite carol … Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

2. Breckenridge Dew Tour
The Dew Tour is back at Peak 8 in Breckenridge December 10-13! Come witness the world’s top ski and snowboard athletes including Danny Davis and Olympic Gold Medalist Joss Christensen. Watch superpipe and slopestyle competitions on Peak 8 and stay for the Dew tour Experience, a free festival with sponsor giveaways and activities. Yes, you read that right, Dew Tour is FREE! Downtown Breckenridge is also hosting part of the action with the streetstyle competition and concert by Grammy nominated artist Audien.

3. ULLR Fest
ULLR! ULLR! ULLR!... is the chant heard echoing through Breckenridge in this winter Festival. Ullr is the Nordic god of snow and January 13 – 16 the town throws a party in his honor hoping Ullr will see the festivities and bless the mountain with fresh powder throughout the season. The weekend is packed full of events but most noteworthy is the ULLR parade and Shot ski. For a $5 donation, those 21 and over can join in an attempt to take the world’s longest shot ski. Be sure to pack your Ullr helmet and help the town of Breckenridge pray for snow at the 2016 Ullr Fest.

4. Budweiser International Snow Sculpture Championships
Better than any museum exhibit, the Budweiser International Snow Sculpture Championships are an amazing display of frozen art carved by the world’s best snow sculptors. See the artists turn a solid 12 foot, 20 ton block of snow into a gravity defying masterpiece January 26 – 30. After the winning team is announced on Saturday, January 30, the sculptures will remain outside the Riverwalk through February 7 for patrons to enjoy.

5. Mardi Gras
Pack your mask, boas, beads and head up to Breckenridge for the greatest Fat Tuesday celebration at 9000 feet. Hit the streets and dance to live jazz music inspired the rhythms of New Orleans along with fire dancers, larger than life street puppets and fellow festival goers.

6. St. Patrick's Day
Time to break out the green attire and hit the town for green beer and Irish cheer. Start your day on the slopes and hit up Coppertop Bar for green beer and Jameson Specials then head to Spencer’s Restaurant and try an Irish themed lunch buffet. Follow the rainbow to Breckenridge and see how much luck this St. Paddy’s day can bring.

7. Spring Fever
We’ve got a fever, and the only prescription is… More Skiing! Enjoy the sunshine and catch the last turns of the season during Spring Fever in Breckenridge. See free live music on Peak 8 in Breckenridge, watch the Park Jam and participate in the on-mountain Easter egg hunt. Catch the Spring Fever and come out to Breck to send off the season with an epic celebration.
