In Breckenridge, snow is king. Skiers and snowboarders come from all over the world to enjoy the over 25 feet of snowfall that covers the slopes each year. While heavy precipitation is celebrated in the winter months, it can cause summer vacationers to rethink their plans. If you are experiencing a rainy day in Breckenridge, try some of these indoor activities while you wait for the showers to pass. Luckily, rain comes and goes quickly in the mountains so you can try one of these fun activities and still have a chance to catch some sunshine.
Arcade and Pool
No need to even leave the resort! Enjoy free mini golf or play the many arcade games located off the Hub, across from the building 3 pool. When seeking shelter from the afternoon showers, check out Base Nine Bar where guests of all ages enjoy free darts and pool while the adults enjoy a tasting flight of Colorado craft beer. Because the arcade and Base Nine are on property, weather and driving are a non-issue when enjoying these fun, family-friendly activities.
The Breckenridge Speakeasy
Sitting at 9,604 feet the Breckenridge Speakeasy is the highest cinema in the United States. Playing everything from Hollywood blockbusters to unique indie films, this local gem is located on Harris Street in the same building as the public library. Not your typical movie theatre, the Speakeasy went through major renovations in 2015 and has become popular spot for locals and visitors alike. See what’s playing HERE.
