Breckenridge Fly Fishing
Fishing in BreckenridgeBreckenridge is lucky to be located around some world-class fisheries and watersheds. The Blue River that flows through Breckenridge starts up in Alma/Fairplay and flows into Lake Dillon. Different stretches of the river give anglers the chance to experience different types of fishing. At it's headwaters, fisherman can enjoy "high-country" type creek fishing with plenty of Brook and Cutthroat trout spread throughout. As you move farther down the river, you can get into bigger rainbow and brown trout. The Blue River that flows through Silverthorne used to be a designated "Gold Medal" river by Colorado Parks and Wildlife.
