Renovations Completed

BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. (December 17, 2007) - The popular Beaver Run Resort and Conference Center located slopeside at the Breckenridge Ski Resort in Colorado has undergone a $3.5 million renovation that adds two après ski bars, a new luxury spa, and a 2,700 sq. ft. ballroom to the 20+-year-old facility. The improvements maintain Beaver Run's position as the town's largest wedding and conference facility under one roof, according to Joe Shackleton, general manager.

The Coppertop Bar & Cafe and its outdoor deck were expanded to 5,000 s.f. with enhanced entertainment in the winter and flexible function space in summer. Winter specialties include Jamaican Jerk chicken cooked over an outdoor bar-b-que. The food service is supervised by executive chef Bob Burden who also runs a monthly cooking class where guests receive instruction in a five-course meal, then enjoy the meal complete with wine pairings.

The recent renovation added the new Imperial ballroom with floor-to-ceiling windows, an indoor fireplace, and a slope side balcony that overlooks the panoramic Peak 9 and Ten Mile Range. The addition can accommodate 150 guests and is expected to attract more wedding and conference business which currently makes up 45 percent of the resort's annual revenue.

The Base Nine Bar was created with a contemporary decor and sophisticated martini and cordial selection, flat screen TV's and championship billiard tables.

Other improvements include a brand new full service spa - The Spa at Beaver Run featuring six treatment rooms and Watsu Water Therapy, Organic Peruvian Chocolate Wraps, Balinese Body Polishes and Oxygen Therapy, among other treatments.
