Established in 1981, the Breckenridge Festival of Film is one of the oldest film festivals in the country. In a spectacular setting 9,600 feet above sea level, Breckenridge is located approximately 80 miles west of Denver, on a beautiful drive along interstate 70. The 1800’s mining town retains much of its historic look and charm. An internationally known ski resort, summer activities include hiking, biking, golf, tennis, sailing & rafting. The town offers a historical district, historic tours, art galleries, shops and fine dining. The Breckenridge Festival of Film returns Thursday, June 7 through Sunday, June 10, 2012 to celebrate the art of filmmaking.
The mission of the Breckenridge Festival of Film is to enrich lives through the ideas and emotions inspired by the art of filmmaking. Inspire. Educate. Entertain. The festival is also a means to celebrate independent filmmakers, enrich the cultural community of Summit County, and provide an educational, creative and inspirational learning environment where participants can focus on their craft and interact intimately with guest filmmakers and mentor through a four-day annual film festival and throughout the year.
