Breckenridge Music Festival

Formed in 1981, the Breckenridge Music Festival brings 40 professional musicians from around the world to perform in and around Breckenridge. The summer season is most known for the popular Blue River Concert Series, Masterworks concerts and free community performances. The Blue River Concert Series brings in popular artists from the world of indie rock and bluegrass. This summer’s line-up brings Keller Williams, Indigo Girls, The Infamous Stringdusters as well as other talented bands. The heart of the Breckenridge Music Festival, Masterworks, is performed by professional musicians in residence for the summer. The orchestra works in collaboration of the National Reparatory Orchestra to produce stunning musical performances from some of the most talented musicians in the nation. The Breckenridge Music Festival will also host two free community events in the Blue River Plaza in July and August. Treat yourself, family and friends to any of these incredible performances while enjoying the beautiful landscapes of Breckenridge.

National Reparatory Orchestra

The National Repertory Orchestra (NRO) is a summer fellowship in Breckenridge formed to prepare young musicians for careers in orchestral music. While main stage events require tickets, rehearsals are open to the public and the NRO performs several free concerts around the community. Free community performances take place at various places around Breckenridge such as Main Street Station and the library. National Reparatory Orchestra performances are a great way to spend an evening with your family or significant other.

Local Restaurants and Bars

Live music is a staple of many restaurants and bars in Breckenridge. To enjoy intimate guitar ballads over candlelight and cocktails, Blue Rive Bistro or Base Nine Bar are a good bet. For a little rowdier and rumpus scene, hit main street after 9 pm and check out the 90s cover band El Passo Lasso at Mother Loaded Tavern. The newly renovated Historic Brown Hotel also boasts great live shows along with pool and air hockey.
